  • WISPPA Special Event – Behind the Scenes at the Pasadena Playhouse. Be sure to RSVP. If you haven’t received an invitation, please respond to this email and one will be sent to you. CEO and Artistic Director Danny Feldman will be giving WISPPA members and their guests a look behind the scenes on September 15 from 10 a.m. to noon. (Refreshments will be served) There will also be an opportunity to purchase discounted tickets for the play that afternoon, Native Gardens, at a discounted rate of $40.

LWV – Voices from the Front Lines of Voter Engagement and Empowerment Thursday, September 6, 8:00 a.m.-11:15 a.m. Our three panelists for League Day were selected for their experience in mobilizing people to be aware of the issues that matter to them and then vote. Each panelist will tell about his/her group’s experiences and best practices for motivating and empowering communities in our current environment. After Q & A with the audience, each table of participants will discuss and plan specific activities to help people in the Pasadena area get registered, informed, and then vote. Cruz’n for Roses Classic Car Show Sunday, September 16 at 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Cost: Free Location: Mission Street Between Fair Oaks and Meridian, South Pasadena The South Pasadena Tournament of Roses Committee invites you to their 14th annual Classic Car Show along legendary Route 66 (Mission Street). The show will feature hundreds of hot rods, custom cars, and classics, as well as a raffle, trophies, refreshments, food, exhibits, and vendors of all sorts. Car clubs and car enthusiasts are invited to join in the fun and display their cars. Independent judges will award trophies in all 18 car categories. The program and luncheon will feature experts in the water industry who will cover important water topics on climate and water supply conditions, Delta sustainability, storm water capture, and recycled water.
