The South Pasadena Public Library invites children ages 4 to 12 to participate in Barks & Books, a reading program that encourages young readers to build confidence by reading aloud to a friendly therapy dog.
The program will take place on Wednesday, February 11, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Children’s Room at the South Pasadena Public Library. Participants will read to Sawyer, a certified therapy dog, in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Additional Barks & Books sessions are scheduled for March 11, April 15, and May 13, all from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Children should check in at the Children’s Reference Desk upon arrival to secure a spot. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
