This December, the Los Angeles Master Chorale brings its beloved holiday programs to Walt Disney Concert Hall and The Music Center’s Jerry Moss Plaza, including Festival of Carols, English Cathedral, Messiah Sing-Along, and more. For the first time, the Master Chorale will also present Carols for Kids, featuring Youth Chorus LA in their first mainstage performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

English Cathedral Christmas on December 14 honors the centuries-old English tradition of gathering in cathedrals and churches for community celebrations of hope and joy. In this program, the Master Chorale honors that heritage while also bringing it into the present day with British choral works spanning the 16th century to today.
Joining cherished Master Chorale traditions is the inaugural family-friendly Carols for Kids, which is specially designed for kids under 6 and will feature Youth Chorus LA’s first main stage performance at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Holiday-themed activities will take place in BP Hall at the Walt Disney Concert Hall at 10am, one hour prior to the concert.
An audience favorite, Festival of Carols, returns on December 20, featuring spectacular arrangements of traditional carols from around the globe, alongside contemporary classics sung by the incomparable voices of the Master Chorale. Selections will include “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “O Holy Night,” “Christmas Time Is Here,” “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and many more.On December 21, the Master Chorale performs the iconic holiday masterpiece, Handel’s Messiah. Filled with themes of hope, redemption, and grace, this Baroque masterpiece showcases the artistry and skill of the Master Chorale.
On December 22, audiences are invited to sing along with the world-class Master Chorale vocalists in the highly anticipated Messiah Sing-Along, which celebrates its 45th anniversary this year. Preceding the concert, the Master Chorale will also host its annual Carols on the Plaza at 6 pm. Attendees can sing along to their favorite holiday songs at this free community event open to all ages on Jerry Moss Plaza.
