On Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., streets across South Pasadena, Alhambra, and San Gabriel will transform into a vibrant, car-free zone during Mission at Twilight, a five-mile open streets event hosted by SGVCOG and presented by Metro. The free celebration invites residents and visitors to walk, bike, skate, and play while experiencing local culture and community.
A Twilight Ride Through Three Cities
The event stretches across a five-mile route connecting Alhambra, San Gabriel, and South Pasadena. Designed to promote active transportation and community connection, Mission at Twilight highlights the joy of safe, walkable neighborhoods. The designated route spans Mission Street, Alhambra Road, Main Street, and Las Tunas Drive, with key activity hubs and cultural stops along the way.
Activities, Access, and Transit

Attendees can enjoy pop-up performances, live music, games, and interactive booths stationed at various festival hubs throughout the route. Car crossings will be managed at designated intersections to ensure safety and accessibility.
For those traveling by train, the South Pasadena Metro Station on the L Line (Gold) provides direct access to the northern end of the event. The initiative also encourages transit use, sustainable travel, and environmentally friendly mobility options.
Celebrate the Summer Solstice in Motion
“Celebrate the Summer Solstice with me, Gabe!” invites a promotional mascot in the event materials, encouraging families and individuals of all ages to participate. With its twilight schedule, the event offers a unique atmosphere that blends community fun with cooler evening temperatures.
