Suspects Arrested in South Pasadena | Stolen Vehicle & Drug Possession

Two suspects were arrested in the early hours of Tuesday, May 27, 2025, after a South Pasadena Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle in the 6000 block of Monterey Road in Los Angeles.

Vehicle Reported Stolen in San Pedro

At approximately 1:31 a.m., officers stopped a 2013 Ford Escape and discovered through a records check that the vehicle had been reported stolen just two days earlier, on May 25, from San Pedro. Additional officers were dispatched to the location to assist in the investigation.

Methamphetamine and Multiple IDs Found

A search of the vehicle uncovered methamphetamine, along with several identification and credit cards that did not belong to either occupant. The two individuals, identified as 34-year-old Joel Ramirez of Venice and 32-year-old Amy Carlie Bryant of Los Angeles, were immediately detained.

Charges Filed and Suspects Booked

Ramirez and Bryant were taken into custody and charged with Grand Theft Auto, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Identity Theft. They were transported to Pasadena City Jail for booking.
