Philip Krohnengold and Summer Woods are set to headline this week’s Wine & Song concert series, happening Wednesday night at The Daily (1119 Fair Oaks Ave.) in South Pasadena. Doors open at 6 p.m. for an evening of live music, community, and good vibes.
Krohnengold Brings Touring Experience and Session Credibility
Making his Wine & Song debut, Philip Krohnengold is best known for his work as a current member of Madison Cunningham’s touring and recording band. His impressive resume includes tours with Sara Bareilles and The Milk Carton Kids, and performances with music icons such as Jackson Browne, Paul F. Tompkins, and Gary Jules.
In the studio, he has worked alongside legendary producers including T Bone Burnett, Ethan Johns, Tony Berg, and Justin Meldal-Johnsen. His recent album, Stick Figures, has been praised by Wine & Song curator Brad Colerick, who says it’s been on “constant loop” in his head.
Summer Woods Delivers Charm and Storytelling
Sharing the bill is Summer Woods, a rising star in the singer-songwriter world. A graduate of the Los Angeles College of Music, Woods hails from Chino Hills and brings a blend of classic acoustic sensibility and uniquely quirky storytelling.
Her upbeat, optimistic songwriting is complemented by her online presence, including a charming YouTube video for her song “Pasadena.” Woods promises to bring warmth and freshness to the stage this week.
