South Pasadena’s celebrated Wine & Song series brings a vibrant lineup of live performances this May, offering music fans a taste of exceptional talent from across Southern California. From a special showcase at NextFest LA in Pomona on May 18 to a soulful evening at The Daily in South Pasadena on May 14, the events promise memorable nights of music, community, and dining.
NextFest LA Showcase Features Wine & Song, Jodi Siegel, and The Nextdoors
Wine & Song host Brad Colerick will headline a special showcase as part of NextFest LA on Sunday, May 18, at the Fairplex in Pomona. Colerick will open the evening with his signature blend of Americana, followed by performances from acclaimed artist Jodi Siegel and the band The Nextdoors.
Tickets are priced at $17.50, with a limited number of complimentary passes available for those interested. Attendees can expect an eclectic set of original songs and collaborative performances. Paula Fong and Lisa Sanders Take the Stage at The Daily
On Wednesday, May 14, Wine & Song returns to The Daily at 1119 Fair Oaks Avenue in South Pasadena. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with performances beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Paula Fong: A Voice Shaped by Folk Roots
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Paula Fong will take the stage, accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Philip Glenn and bassist Cory Tramontelli. Known for her lyrical storytelling and folk influences drawn from summers spent in the French countryside, Fong has collaborated with Tom Kell and currently tours with Abby Posner and the Big Fall.
Lisa Sanders and Karen “Brown Sugar” Hayes: Soulful Harmonies
Joining the evening’s lineup are Lisa Sanders and Karen “Brown Sugar” Hayes, a dynamic San Diego-based duo. Sanders, a nine-time album recording artist and a San Diego Music Hall of Fame inductee, brings her powerful vocals alongside the rich harmonies of Hayes, who balances a nursing career with her passion for music.
