Open Screen, the popular monthly short film showcase, is set to return on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at The Lyric Hyperion in Los Angeles. The event offers emerging and independent filmmakers a chance to share their work on the big screen in a casual, open mic-style format.
Doors open and filmmaker sign-ups begin at 7:00 PM, followed by the screening at 7:30 PM. An afterparty will close out the night at 9:00 PM, giving attendees and creators a chance to connect and discuss the evening’s films.

To streamline participation, a special screening slot code — SCREENINGSLOT — is available for those inviting guests or traveling from outside the city. This code allows the purchase of one of three guaranteed screening spots, removing the need to arrive early to sign up. Standard submission rules still apply.
