
South Pasadena is hosting its annual Sustainability Fair on Saturday, March 29, from 1 PM to 4 PM at Arroyo Seco Woodland & Wildlife Park (Nature Park). This free, family-friendly event will feature educational programs, a plant swap, a native plant workshop, and a garden tour, all aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainable living.

Environmental Programs and Initiatives

Learn about the City of South Pasadena’s environmental initiatives, including:
- Water conservation rebates to encourage efficient water use.
- Leaf blower ban policies to reduce air and noise pollution.
- Organics recycling programs for a more sustainable waste system.
Plant Swap: Exchange and Expand Your Garden

Bring a plant, take a plant! Thanks to Bellefontaine Nursery, Bartlett Tree Experts, and Artemisia Nursery, there will be a variety of native and low-water-use plants available for exchange.
- Please bring potted and labeled plants.
- Avoid excess cuttings that may go to waste.

Growing Native Plants Workshop

Join Antonio Sanchez, a horticulturist from the Santa Monica Mountains Fund, as he shares expert tips on propagating native plants from seeds and cuttings.

Garden Tour: Discover South Pasadena’s Super Bloom

Enjoy a guided Garden Tour to experience South Pasadena’s blooming native plants. Kids can participate in the Story Path or the Nature Scavenger Hunt for an interactive learning experience.
