Music lovers are in for a treat this Wednesday as Great Willow and Leeann Skoda take the stage at The Daily in South Pasadena. The event promises a night of intimate harmonies and classic Americana sounds, featuring two of the most captivating acts in the local music scene. Great Willow: Timeless Harmonies and Modern Storytelling
Great Willow, a duo composed of guitarist James Combs and cellist Erin Hawkins, is known for their close harmonies and Laurel Canyon-inspired songwriting. Their debut album was praised by No Depression magazine as “an incredible addition to any Americana library.” Their collaborations, including a track with California psychedelic country legends I See Hawks in LA, showcase their ability to blend tradition with innovation.
Leeann Skoda: Raw and Soulful Country Influence
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Leeann Skoda brings her folk and bluegrass influences to the stage with a sound reminiscent of Neko Case and Emmylou Harris. A Phoenix native, Skoda’s latest EP, Living Room Sessions, was recorded live to tape in a single afternoon, capturing the raw and heartfelt nature of her artistry.
