A 17-year-old juvenile from San Gabriel was arrested early Tuesday, February 25, 2025, after a traffic stop led to the discovery of a firearm, ammunition, and narcotics, according to the South Pasadena Police Department.
At approximately 2:34 A.M., a South Pasadena police officer conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of Garfield Avenue. During the stop, the officer noticed narcotics inside the vehicle, prompting further investigation. A subsequent search revealed a handbag containing a loaded firearm, additional narcotics, and ammunition.
Charges Against the Juvenile
The suspect was taken into custody and transported to Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall. He now faces multiple charges, including:
- Possession of a controlled substance with a loaded firearm
- Possession of a loaded firearm
- Possession of a loaded firearm inside a vehicle
