South Pasadena Girls Soccer Team 4-1 in league.

South Pasadena High’s girls’ soccer team will be looking to avenge its only loss in Rio Hondo League play on Wednesday when it travels to San Marino to face the Titans in a key match.

The first-place Tigers are 4-1 in league (14-3-2 overall) while the Titans are 3-2 (9-4-1) with three games left in the regular season.

South Pasadena is coming off a 3-0 win over Monrovia on Friday while San Marino dropped a 2-0 contest to Temple City.

In the shutout over the Monrovia, junior Uma Hornish gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead at the half on an assist by Isabel Bluml. Senior South Pas goalie Sophie Reynolds had two first half saves.

South Pasadena Senior Emily Dunn and Sophomore Corey Segal rounded out the scoring for the Tigers in the second half. Junior goalie Noemi Howland contributed to the win with four saves.

South Pasadena, among the top teams in the San Gabriel Valley, entered Friday’s game ranked No. 1 in CIF-Southern Section Division 5.
