It wasn’t the season South Pasadena High’s the boys’ basketball team was hoping for, but the Tigers are showing promise of being a much stronger unit in the 2018-19 campaign.
South Pasadena, under coach Ryan Lee, fell to Temple City Wednesday night, 51-40. Earlier in the season, the Tigers came away with a 63-55 victory over the Rams.
La Cañada claimed the league championship and going into its final regular season game Thursday has an 8-1 record, 18-9 overall, followed by Blair 7-2, 19-7; San Marino 5-4, 14-11; South Pasadena 3-6, 11-15; Monrovia 2-7, 11-16 and Temple City 2-7, 9-17.
South Pasadena will wind up its season with Thursday’s encounter against Blair on the road. Game time is 7 p.m.
