Retreat Lifestyle was abuzz with conversation and collaboration on Tuesday evening as women business owners gathered for their monthly mixer. This group of creative entrepreneurs socialized while perusing the unique jewelry, cards, artwork and gifts throughout Diane Staples’ eclectic boutique.
The beautiful, rotating, solar powered globes were a topic of fascination and speculation. Every inch of the boutique contains something new to explore!
For the main portion of the meeting, the women were invited to Staples’ lovely apartment above the store, where they wined, dined and participated in lively conversation about their businesses, their upcoming events and ways of supporting each other and the South Pasadena business community. The energy and enthusiasm was palpable.
The South Pasadena Women’s Business Initiative was first set in motion by Mission Chiropractic Works owner, Charlene Lohmueller in 2015, then conducted by Susan Clarke of Ready Set Go Music, a boutique event band agency, in 2016 and now organized by Delilah Rabina of Hotbox Vintage. With so many woman-owned businesses in South Pasadena, the goal is to create an atmosphere of collaboration to support each other in their endeavors. Each month a different
host-business provides an evening of networking with local business owners, business-to-business shop talk, and a small presentation of their business and their experience in South Pasadena.
