It was a festive and decidedly rock and roll Opening Night for Shout Sister Shout! at Pasadena Playhouse Sunday evening where cast, crew, press and audience members celebrated the new show about Sister Rosetta Tharpe. The crowd enjoyed the flowing drinks and desserts as a DJ played classic Sister Rosetta tunes like You Gotta Move, Jericho and Strange Things Happening Every Day.

Patrons were invited to take photos and pose on the giant throne made of Gibson guitars, peruse and play Gibson guitars in the Friendship Center off the courtyard. Gibson is sponsoring the production and providing the band guitars including the white Gibson SG Custom Shop VOS Reissue used in the show, which is the guitar often played by Sister Rosetta.
