Sheu Petit Duo at The Old Mill

Dr. Adam Pettit and Dr. Connie Sheu

The Old Mill Foundation presents Magical Music at the Mill, chamber music under the stars at the Old Mill in San Marino. Each evening will feature a different chamber music ensemble performing on the historic Pomegranate Patio surrounded by the Mill’s beautiful pomegranate trees and lush gardens. Sheu Pettit Duo will perform on Saturday, June 17, 2017.

In addition to enjoying the fine music, concertgoers are invited to view the building, learn about its history, and view the latest California Art Club exhibition, Idyllic Impressions in the Mill’s gallery. Summer concerts at the Old Mill are intimate evenings of chamber music surrounded by the history of early California. Concertgoers are urged to have dinner before they arrive and enjoy a beverage at the no-host refreshment bar before the concert or during intermission. Chairs are provided and the musicians are only steps away from the audience. The gates open at 7:00 pm and the music begins at 8:00 pm.

The Old Mill Foundation has been producing Magical Music At The Mill concerts since 2013. The concert series consists of three intimate, outdoor concerts on the Old Mill’s Pomegranate Patio drawing guests from across the San Gabriel Valley. Concertgoers park on Old Mill Road and walk up the driveway. In the attached press release there is more information on our two musicians.
The Old Mill (also known as El Molino Viejo) is the original restored adobe building built by Mission San Gabriel over 200 years ago in 1816. The building was used by the Mission for approximately 7 years and then the Mission built a much better working new mill. Beginning in 1859 the Mill became a residence and the residential period continued for over 100 years.
