Presidents Honored – Marengo Students Create Artwork

Second grade students at Marengo Elementary School have been busy in recent days doing art projects to honor Presidents’ Day. With paper, scissors and glue they created the faces of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Their work can be found in the Board of Education chambers at the South Pasadena Unified School District offices 1020 El Centro St. in the city. Every year, on the third Monday in February, United States citizens enjoy a three-day weekend to mark the federal holiday, known as Presidents’ Day. the day recognizes the incumbent president and all those who have served as president, not just George Washington.
