The Halloween Carnival is a long-standing tradition at MHS and Cub Scout Pack 139 has hosted this fundraiser for over 30 years.  As in past years, Pack 139 has teamed up with the MHS PTA, who hold a costume parade from 2-2:30pm and entertainment from 2:30- 3pm, to create a seamless, fun-filled community event that is geared toward elementary school-aged children.  While the parade and post-parade entertainment are for MHS students, the Carnival is open to the Community.

The Carnival is Pack 139’s main fundraiser and money raised is used to help pay for various activities throughout the year.  The Pack is selling All-You-Can-Play wristbands that gives kids access to simple games where kids can win small prizes or tickets that can be exchanged for larger prizes.  In addition, the event has a kid-friendly Haunted House, food for sale, kid-friendly contests, and free entertainment including:

  • The South Pasadena High School Drum Line
  • Demonstration by the South Pasadena Juggling Club
  • A Photo Op and Bubble Machine sponsored by the MHS D.U.D.E.S.
  • Balloon animals
  • Face Painting and temporary tattoos
  • Emergency Preparedness Puppet Show performed by South Pasadena High School Red Cross Club
