We’ve got a new Park Supervisor, South Pasadena! David Niznik was introduced and welcomed to the community at the recent City Council meeting where he was joined by his wife, Rebecca and four of his five daughters, Rachel, Madeline, Alison, and Brooklyn. Daughter Kaitlyn was at a cheer event. Our new member of the city family comes to us from Laguna Niguel.

He served in the army 7 years, has a bachelors in science from Biola University and his experience as a landscape contractor and landscape artist make him perfectly suited to his new role. Niznik said he finds it “so joyous to work for this city. It’s a beautiful city…the tree canopy is so beautiful…the mature trees and the essence that brings to the community; it’s amazing to be a part of it.” Niznik went on to say, “I look to keep the city sustainable and to build sustainable irrigation systems where we need to upgrade to take us into the future. I also look to enhance the medians in the city; the orange grove medians are a good palate that South Pasadena Beautiful established and I look to continue that throughout the city.” He also mentioned speaking to representatives of AYSO and Little League and will be working to get those fields up to par.

Council Member Diana Mahmud said “we are thrilled to have you and to hear you say you’re going to work on the medians is music to our ears. We’ve wanted to address this for a long time so we welcome you, David.”
