The mindfulness session on April 18 focuses on concentration as a way to teach students to pay attention to what is happening in the current moment. Presenter Christine Higgins Chin teaches Mindfulness Schools Curriculum at Marengo Elementary in South Pasadena. She has over 15 years of experience in contemplative practices and training in mindfulness-based programs. Creative expression is another technique students can use to relax and refocus.
