Green Brooms Music Academy is holding their bi-annual $20 Lesson Day in South Pasadena on Sunday, September 17th from 10am – 4pm. Thirty minute private music lessons are only $20 each and all proceeds will benefit the South Pasadena Educational Foundation.
“We have a high regard for the work of SPEF,” says Manuel Lozano, co-owner of Green Brooms. “The $20 lesson day is our way of giving back to a worthy organization and at the same time helping to encourage an interest in music education.”
Guitar teacher Michael Carpenter Jr. says “Green Brooms does a great job of putting the right clients with the right teachers. I’ve never had a student at Green Brooms that I’ve been mismatched with. I’m so impressed by that.”
Echoing that sentiment is parent and professional musician, Fernando Diez, “Connecting to the teacher is key. The right teacher motivates you to learn and makes it easy.”
In the four years since opening, Lozano and crew have been embraced by South Pasadena, “it’s a very tight knit community that has an appreciation for all the arts” he says, “we love how excited parents get when they see their kids perform and make progress musically. We are also honored when parents and adults take music lessons and work to learn something new that they have always wanted to do. We love teaching kids but equally love seeing adults take on a new instrument or pick up where they left off as kids.”
This will be the 10th bi-annual $20 Lesson Day held in South Pasadena and a great opportunity for you and/or your child to explore new instruments while giving to a great cause.
The academy offers a range of lessons including voice, piano, drums, guitar, bass, ukulele, songwriting and music theory. All ages and experience levels, children & adults are welcome!
