South Pasadena High’s girls’ water polo team would like nothing more than to upset La Canada on the road Thursday to conclude the Rio Hondo League regular season.

Yet, win or lose, the Tigers are headed to next week’s CIF-southern Section playoffs.

The three teams that will represent the Rio Hondo League are set as La Canada (6-0, 16-9), Temple City (5-2, 21-10) and South Pasadena (5-2, 19-5) are all looking forward to the postseason. South Pasadena could move into second with a win and a Temple City loss on Thursday.
