Aramazd Andressian Sr., the father who was arrested under suspicion of the murder of his 5-year-old son, Aramazd “Piqui” Andressian Jr., has pleaded guilty in an Alhambra courtroom this Tuesday, August 1.

Originally set to return to court on August 16, with a substantial bail of $10 million, the father was charged with one count of murder with a sentence of 25 years to life during a preliminary hearing at the Los Angeles Superior Court branch.

After months of intensive investigation and scrutiny, Andressian has changed his previous plea of “not guilty” from his hearing back on July 3.

His disposition was previously adamantly defensive, as he fervently denied taking part in the boy’s disappearance. However, sources state that after essentially admitting responsibility for the boy’s death, he was left with very few options other than to plead guilty.

The case, which has been muddled by a quarrelsome divorce and the father’s odd behavior, has seen many divulgements, ultimately leading to the father’s arrest and subsequent arraignment.

According to information from a Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services report, the father had actually given several critical pieces of information that eventually led to the recovery of his deceased son’s body by Lake Cachuma in Santa Barbara. In the statement he had admitted to harming the boy and leaving him.

A statement from Mother Ana Estevez, is to be released this afternoon.
