Eleanore Vogelsong from the Close Up Foundation was the program speaker at the South Pasadena Rotary Club on Tuesday, March 13. Close Up is a non-profit civic education organization with a mission to inspire and empower young people to be more engaged in the political process. They do this by coordinating trips to Washington DC for Middle and High School Students. The South Pasadena High School has worked with Close Up by sending several students on their trips.
The photo is Rotary President Dan Watson presenting a book to Ms. Vogelsong that will be donated to the South Pasadena Library in her name.
The Rotary Club meets in the Tower Room at the Oneonta Congregational Church on Tuesdays at noon with the exception of the first Tuesday of each month when they meet for an evening social event at The Canoe House at 6 pm. Visitors are welcome to attend.
