Duffy Hudson Performs His New One-Man Show at Library on Thursday, November 30

A Living History Performance of “9-11/The Story of Flight 93”  performed by actor, writer, and director Duffy Hudson will be showcased in the Community Room  of the South Pasadena Public Library on Thursday, November 30 at 7 p.m. Duffy’s newest one-man tour de force honors the American heroes  aboard the airliner, United Flight 93 that was hijacked by terrorists and aimed for the Capitol Building in Washington DC on September 11, 2001, shortly after two planes crashed into the World Trade Center. Thankfully, Flight 93 never reached its target as the passengers mounted a heroic counterattack using lightning quick thinking and incredibly brave actions against the terrorists..

Audience members will meet the courageous passengers, the determined crew, the resolute terrorists, and the speeding timeline as it played out on the fateful 9-11 day. Viewers will become acquainted with the American heroes and  learn how they took a stand to save thousands of lives over the skies of western Pennsylvania while becoming the first of the first responders in their historic battle against of 21st Century Terror.

Duffy Hudson has previously performed popular Living History events at the South Pasadena Library in the personas Edgar Allan Poe, Albert Einstein, Audie Murphy, Harry Houdini, and George Burns. Duffy also performed a brilliant one-man show of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol at the Library. All of his performances have been very enthusiastically received and won him new fans.

South Pasadena-bred Alan Cook, an Author and Puppet Expert Extraordinaire will be opening the show by introducing his amazing new book  Alan Cook: A Puppet Collector’s Odyssey”  and performing a brief “Three Billy Goat’s  Gruff”. Autographed copies of Alan’s book will be available for purchase.

The free event is presented by the South Pasadena Public Library, the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library, and the Living History Centre Fund.  Special thanks to 210eastsound.
