Congratulations to South Pasadena United on their division championship win on Sunday. The South Pasadena United Football Club is part of the Pasadena Adult Soccer League and their win came in an intense game that went to second round sudden death penalty kicks after the regulation time ended in a tie 1-1.

The team is made up of mostly South Pasadenans with Aman Thind as team manager. Although she was sidelined for this game, Thind says the team was pumped up and tells us “there were lots of quick runs and smart passing, making sure we marked up well.” She also points out, “we were double the age of the other team.”

Thind says they generally play 3 defenders, 2 midfielders and 1 on top and the goalie; 7 v 7. Thind tells us the team is planning a big celebration in a couple of weeks.
