Jamie Holeman, Pasadena Humane Society and SPCA’s (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) Director of Public Relations and Marketing, presented Sweet Pea, a seven year old Chihuahua mix to the City Council during their Public Meeting on Feb. 21, 2018.
South Pasadena’s Public Information Officer, Susan Groveman, was seen, captivated, holding and cuddling with Sweet Pea prior to the meeting’s commencement.
Holeman explained that Sweet Pea is known for being a “lapdog” and is considered socially friendly with other dogs. Sweet Pea also has a brother named Buster who did not accompany her to the City Council Meeting on Wednesday.
Holeman went on to say that Sweet Pea is looking for “a place to cuddle and a warm bed to snuggle at night.”
Before Holeman and Sweet Pea left the podium, Councilmember Michael A. Cacciotti, requested a face-to-face introduction with the Council’s special guest.
“She’s so gentle,” Cacciotti exclaimed. After a quick hug and cuddle, Sweet Pea and Cacciotti parted was and returned to their seats.
Sweet Pea, who is currently available for adoption, can be found at Pasadena Humane Society and SPCA’s website along with their other adoptable pets.
