Friends and family are mourning the loss of a young South Pasadenan woman, 21 year-old Chloe Plotnivkov; she was a South Pasadena High School alumni, a beloved daughter and friend, a creative soul and artist. Friends have been gathering to be together and share memories of Chloe.

Natasha Prime, who founded The Place, knew her well and is heartbroken saying, “she was a wonderful young woman who will forever be in the hearts of those who knew her. It is Suicide Prevention Week. Let’s raise awareness and work to fight the stigma of those who suffer from emotional distress. Let’s also be kind to one another.”

Prime has created a GoFundMe page to help the family with expenses during this difficult time. Below is the story on the GoFundMe page.

“We lost our lovely Chloe to suicide on Sunday October 1st. She was a creative, talented, loving, warm, sweet free spirit who touched all who knew her. Her family and friends are heartbroken and devastated and trying to understand the incomprehensible.

We stand alongside one another as we try to come to terms with the idea of a world without our beloved Chloe. She was deeply loved and cherished by her family and friends, and somehow, our love couldn’t save her. We grapple with that daily.

One of the awful realities of such a loss, is the expenses that are incurred. Even when finanaces are a hardship, one doesn’t think about how one is going to pay for things. But the bills will come later.

I am starting this gofundme account to help Chloe’s family pay for some of those expenses. While nothing can take away the pain of losing Chloe, some financial help will ease a small burden as they make it through their grief, one day at a time.

No donation is too small.

As donations have started to build, Prime wrote this message:

“Thank you all so much for your generous donations to help Chloe’s family during this most difficult time.
Please continue to share the campaign and keep Chloe’s loved ones in your thoughts.”

Natasha

Our hearts go out to Chloe’s friends and family.
