The San Gabriel Mountains Chapter of the California Native Plant Society (CNPS) will host its annual native plant sale on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Eaton Canyon Nature Center, 1750 N. Altadena Drive, Pasadena, CA 91107.
Water is precious, and so now is the time to add low water use, yet beautiful, California native plants to your garden. A large variety of well-priced and unusual California native plants and wildflower seeds will be available at the CNPS plant sale at Eaton Canyon Nature Center. Appropriate for gardens in the Los Angeles Basin, these beautiful native plants provide good habitat, and are attractive to birds, butterflies and hummingbirds. Knowledgeable chapter members will be on hand to answer questions and offer recommendations. CNPS members receive a discount; memberships are available at the sale. For more information please visit https://cnps-sgm.org/.
You will not find these plants in big-box stores! Shoppers will find pretty flowering plants for patio containers, aromatic herbaceous plants, large shrubs and trees to fill open spaces, and everything in between. Volunteers with experience growing natives are happy to discuss your individual needs and help you select the perfect plants for your garden. Take advantage of cash-for-grass programs – rebates for replacing water thirsty lawns with low water-use, sustainable plants, like our California natives – by purchasing plants at the CNPS- San Gabriel Mountains Chapter native plant sale.
CNPS is a statewide non-profit organization of amateurs and professionals with a common interest in California’s native plants. The mission of CNPS is to increase understanding and appreciation of California’s native plants, and to conserve them and their natural habitats through education, science, horticulture, and advocacy.
