The South Pasadena community is invited to a Town Hall with Senator Anthony J. Portantino this Wednesday, October 18 at 7pm at the South Pasadena Library Community Room.
This is a free event organized by South Pasadena Democratic Club and is the third town hall this year. In April there was a town hall with Congresswoman Judy Chu and in July, another with Assemblymember Chris Holden.
The purpose of these town halls is to provide constituents with an opportunity to engage with their elected representatives. This Wednesday will follow the same format as in previous town halls: three guest panelists will read questions submitted by members of the audience. Two of the panelists will be South Pasadena High School students: Ava Planer and Luke Quezada. The third panelist will be Tanya Parker, who is a co-founder of Indivisible South Pasadena.
